Fusion antibody-peptide that is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist; stimulates proliferation, differentiation, and activity of monocytes, neutrophils, eoxinophils, and macrophages

- Unknown Limited human data. In animals it crossed the placenta and raised fetal platelets; post-implantation loss in mice and more pup deaths in rats at 5 to 11 times human exposure. EU label: not recommended in pregnancy or without contraception.

- Unsafe Low milk levels in one mother; her infant had mild high platelets that persisted after weaning. LactMed: if used, monitor the infant's blood counts, especially a newborn. US label: do not breastfeed; EU: decide whether to stop breastfeeding or the drug.
