Résumé
Adefovir can cause dose-related proximal tubular nephrotoxicity, and streptomycin is also nephrotoxic. Concurrent use increases the risk of kidney injury and may raise aminoglycoside exposure and ototoxicity.
Ce que signifie cette interaction, en termes simples
Adefovir and Streptomycin can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.
Adefovir belongs to Anti Virals; Streptomycin belongs to Anti Bacterial.
Pourquoi elle survient
Additive nephrotoxicity affecting the proximal tubule, with reduced clearance of renally eliminated drugs.
