Résumé
Both valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide can reduce renal lithium clearance, raising serum lithium and risking toxicity such as tremor, ataxia, confusion and arrhythmias. The thiazide effect is particularly well documented and the risk is greater with volume depletion.
