उपयोग

यह कैसे काम करती है

Dexbrompheniramine is the pharmacologically active dextrorotatory (S)-enantiomer of brompheniramine. It is a first-generation alkylamine (propylamine) antihistamine that competitively blocks histamine H1 receptors. This reduces histamine-mediated effects such as increased capillary permeability, vasodilation, itching, sneezing and rhinorrhoea.

गर्भावस्था और स्तनपान

गर्भावस्था
Unknown Older antihistamine, mostly in cold and allergy combinations; limited human data with no clear link to birth defects. Loratadine or cetirizine have more pregnancy data and are preferred. Avoid combinations with decongestants in early pregnancy.
स्तनपान
Safe LactMed: small occasional doses are not expected to harm the infant. Larger or prolonged doses may sedate the infant or reduce milk supply, especially with pseudoephedrine. A bedtime dose after the last feed limits exposure.
