Selexipag is a prostacyclin (IP) receptor agonist, structurally distinct from prostacyclin. It is hydrolyzed by carboxylesterase 1 to an active metabolite that is approximately 37-fold as potent as selexipag.

PAH (tablets): start 200 mcg orally twice daily; increase by 200 mcg twice daily, usually at weekly intervals, to the highest tolerated dose up to 1,600 mcg twice daily; if a dose is not tolerated, reduce to the previous tolerated dose

- Pediatric patients had smaller mean increases in weight and height than placebo; monitor growth.
