Кратко
Combining an angiotensin receptor blocker with aliskiren produces dual renin-angiotensin blockade. This raises the risk of hypotension, hyperkalemia and renal impairment, including acute kidney injury, without added outcome benefit. The combination is contraindicated in patients with diabetes and should be avoided in renal impairment.
