Кратко
Isocarboxazid irreversibly inhibits monoamine oxidase, so serotonin is not broken down, and imipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant that blocks serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake. Together they can precipitate serotonin syndrome with hyperthermia, agitation, clonus and autonomic instability, which can be fatal.
