Kinase inhibitor that binds to and inhibits enzymatic activity of FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4 (in vitro data); inhibits FGFR phosphorylation and signaling and decreases viability of cell lines with FGFR alterations.

  • Ocular disorders including CSR/RPED (22%) and dry eye; monthly eye exams for first 4 months then every 3 months, and urgently for visual symptoms; dry eye prophylaxis.
  • Hyperphosphatemia and soft tissue mineralization; monitor phosphate, restrict dietary phosphate to 600–800 mg daily, consider phosphate binder if above 7.0 mg/dL.
  • Embryo-fetal toxicity; verify pregnancy status and use effective contraception during treatment and for one month after last dose.
