MediMate: an AI assistant for drug questions, with sources
Ask a drug or clinical reference question and get an answer with the sources it is based on, so you can check it before you use it.
Short answer
MediMate is MediHelp's AI assistant for drug and clinical reference questions. It answers with sources and helps you check interactions. It is a support tool: verify the answer against the source before it affects a patient.
What it does
- Answers with sources. Each answer names the references behind it.
- Interaction help. Ask whether two medicines interact and why.
- Reference questions. Questions on drugs, doses, counselling and conditions.
- Built into the reference. Open the same monograph or interaction page MediMate cites.
How to use it
- Ask in plain words. For example: can a patient on weekly methotrexate take amoxicillin?
- Read the answer and the sources. The answer explains the mechanism and what to monitor.
- Verify before you act. Open the source and confirm against the label.
Example
- You enter
- Can a patient on weekly methotrexate take amoxicillin?
- You see
- Penicillins can reduce methotrexate clearance and raise toxicity: MediMate explains the mechanism, what to monitor and when to contact the prescriber, with sources.
An example of what the tool shows, not clinical advice.
Where the information comes from
MediMate answers draw on official product information and the references named in each answer. It needs an internet connection. AI can make mistakes: the source is the authority, not the chat.

Is MediMate free?
On the free plan, AI answers use points. See the plans page for what each plan includes.
MediHelp is a reference and education tool for healthcare professionals and students. It supports, and does not replace, clinical judgement or the official product label. Check anything that affects a patient against the source.
