نحوه اثر
Somapacitan-beco binds to a dimeric GH receptor on target cells, causing intracellular signal transduction. Some effects are mediated mainly by IGF-1 produced in the liver, others are direct effects of somapacitan-beco.

Adult GHD: start 1.5 mg subcutaneously once weekly (treatment-naive or switching from daily GH); increase every 2 to 4 weeks by approximately 0.5 mg to 1.5 mg based on clinical response and IGF-1; maximum 8 mg once weekly

- Unknown No data for this long-acting growth hormone; decades of short-acting growth hormone use in pregnancy show no drug-related risk, and animals showed no birth defects. UK label: not recommended in pregnancy or without contraception. Growth hormone is usually stopped once pregnancy is confirmed.

- Unknown No human data; it passes into rat milk. UK label: decide whether to stop breastfeeding or the drug. LactMed: a large, poorly absorbed molecule unlikely to reach the infant, but with no experience an alternative may be preferred with a newborn or preterm infant.
