Mécanisme d'action
Produces surface anesthesia when applied topically to mucous membranes.
Posologie adulte habituelle (résumé de la notice)
Mucous membrane anesthesia (endoscopy, gag reflex, oral ulcers, ano-genital lesions): topical, lowest effective dose; maximum 30 mL of 1% solution (300 mg); usual 4 to 20 mL
Grossesse et allaitement
- Grossesse
- Unknown Local anaesthetic in throat lozenges and sprays; little reaches the blood. No animal reproduction studies or human data. Short-term use for a sore throat is unlikely to pose a risk; use only if needed.
- Allaitement
- Safe No milk data, but low exposure from lozenges or sprays makes infant effects unlikely (LactMed: relatively safe). If applied near the nipple, wipe it off before feeding; keep it off the baby's skin, as allergic dermatitis has occurred.
Effets indésirables signalés
- Lightheadedness
- Nervousness
- Dizziness
- Drowsiness
- Bradycardia and hypotension
- Urticaria and allergic reactions
Contre-indications
- Known hypersensitivity to the local anesthetic or other components of the product.
Précautions particulières
- Resuscitative equipment, oxygen and drugs must be immediately available when applied to mucous membranes.
- Do not inject into tissue or use in the eyes because of highly irritant properties.
- Use extreme caution with sepsis or severely traumatized mucosa due to potential for rapid systemic absorption.
Informez votre pharmacien ou votre médecin en cas de grossesse ou d'allaitement, de maladie rénale ou hépatique, d'allergies, ainsi que de tout autre médicament ou complément que vous prenez.
