Indications
Mécanisme d'action
Ensifentrine inhibits the PDE3 and PDE4 enzymes, leading to accumulation of intracellular cAMP and/or cGMP and downstream signaling effects.
Posologie adulte habituelle (résumé de la notice)
Maintenance treatment of COPD: 3 mg (one unit-dose ampule) twice daily, morning and evening, by oral inhalation using a standard jet nebulizer with a mouthpiece

- Unknown Inhaled (nebulised) for COPD. No human pregnancy data. No developmental harm in pregnant rats or rabbits; in rats, very high exposure in males increased embryo loss in their untreated female partners.

- Unknown No data on presence in milk or effects on the infant or milk supply. Weigh breastfeeding benefits against the mother's need for treatment.

Contre-indications
- Hypersensitivity to ensifentrine or any component of the product.
Précautions particulières
- Not for relief of acute bronchospasm; do not use extra doses for that purpose. Treat acute symptoms with an inhaled short-acting bronchodilator.
- Paradoxical bronchospasm may be life threatening; discontinue immediately, treat with an inhaled short-acting bronchodilator and institute alternative therapy.
- Psychiatric adverse reactions including suicidality were reported; weigh risks and benefits in patients with a history of depression and/or suicidal thoughts or behavior.
