Résumé
Combining atomoxetine with an MAO inhibitor such as transdermal selegiline can cause hypertensive crisis and serotonin-like reactions. Atomoxetine labeling contraindicates use with MAOIs.

Atomoxetine and Selegiline transdermal are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

MAO inhibition reduces catecholamine breakdown while atomoxetine blocks norepinephrine reuptake, causing excess noradrenergic stimulation.
Conduite à tenir
Do not co-administer. Allow at least 14 days after stopping selegiline before starting atomoxetine, and at least 2 weeks after stopping atomoxetine before starting selegiline.
