Résumé

Carbamazepine markedly lowers nirmatrelvir concentrations, risking loss of antiviral efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 and possible resistance. The inducing effect persists after carbamazepine is stopped.

Carbamazepine and Nirmatrelvir are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
