Résumé
Methylene blue inhibits monoamine oxidase A and, with serotonergic or sympathomimetic drugs, can cause serotonin syndrome. Amphetamine adds serotonin and norepinephrine release, and hypertensive reactions are also possible.

Dextroamphetamine and Methylene blue are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Avoid the combination. If urgent methylene blue treatment is needed, stop the amphetamine and monitor for serotonin toxicity for at least 24 hours after the last methylene blue dose, or until two weeks have passed if the methylene blue is not given.
