Hogyan hat

Flumethasone is a synthetic difluorinated corticosteroid that binds intracellular glucocorticoid receptors. This alters gene transcription, inducing anti-inflammatory proteins such as lipocortins and suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators.

Szokásos felnőttadag (alkalmazási előírás szerinti összefoglaló)

Corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses (topical 0.02% cream/ointment): apply a thin layer to the affected skin 2 to 3 times daily. Reduce to once daily or stop as the condition improves.

Csak az első adagolási sor összefoglalója az alkalmazási előírás alapján; a teljes adagolási szakaszok az alkalmazásban találhatók.

Terhesség és szoptatás

Terhesség
Safe Applies to skin creams and ear drops (often with clioquinol or salicylic acid). Little is absorbed. Topical steroids are acceptable in pregnancy; use the smallest amount for the shortest time and avoid large areas, occlusion or long use.
Szoptatás
Safe Little is absorbed from skin or ear use, so milk levels are expected to be negligible; compatible. Do not apply to the nipple or breast; if needed there, wipe off before feeds and keep the infant's skin away from treated areas.

Jelentett mellékhatások

  • Local burning, stinging or irritation
  • Skin atrophy
  • Striae
  • Telangiectasia
  • Hypopigmentation
  • Folliculitis

Ellenjavallatok

  • Hypersensitivity to flumethasone, other corticosteroids or any excipient.
  • Untreated bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections, including herpes simplex, varicella and vaccinia.
  • Cutaneous tuberculosis or syphilitic skin lesions.

Kinek kell óvatosnak lennie

  • Prolonged or extensive use, especially under occlusion, may cause systemic absorption with HPA-axis suppression and Cushingoid features.
  • Children are more susceptible to systemic effects. Use the minimum amount for the shortest time and avoid occlusion, including tight nappies.
  • Avoid prolonged use on the face, eyelids, flexures and genital areas because of the risk of skin atrophy.
