Hogyan hat
Bisphosphonate which inhibits bone resorption via actions on osteoclast activity, leading to an indirect increase in bone density
Szokásos felnőttadag (alkalmazási előírás szerinti összefoglaló)
Hypercalcemia of Malignancy (Moderate hypercalcemia) (ie, corrected serum calcium 12-13.5 mg/dL): 60-90 mg single-dose IV infusion over 2-24 hours
Terhesség és szoptatás
- Terhesség
- Unsafe No human data on fetal risk. Bisphosphonates enter bone and are released over years; in animals pamidronate caused bone mineralisation defects and embryo-fetal effects. UK label: do not use at any stage of pregnancy unless life-threatening hypercalcaemia cannot be controlled otherwise.
- Szoptatás
- Unknown Very low milk levels after a 30 mg IV dose, and it is poorly absorbed by mouth. UK label: not recommended (possible bone effects); US: decide on nursing or the drug. LactMed: infant absorption unlikely; withholding feeds for 12-24 h after a dose minimises exposure.
Jelentett mellékhatások
- Anemia
- Hypokalemia
- Urinary tract infectious disease
- Hypocalcemia
- Hypomagnesemia
- Hypophosphatemia
Ellenjavallatok
- Hypersensitivity to drug, other bisphosphonates, or excipients, including mannitol
Kinek kell óvatosnak lennie
- Bisphosphonates, such as pamidronate disodium, have been associated with renal toxicity, including focal segmental glomerulosclerosis
