Hogyan hat
Rasburicase catalyzes enzymatic oxidation of poorly soluble uric acid into an inactive and more soluble metabolite (allantoin).

Initial management of plasma uric acid in patients with leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors receiving anticancer therapy: 0.2 mg/kg IV infusion over 30 minutes, daily for up to 5 days; dosing beyond 5 days or more than one course is not recommended

- Serious and fatal hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis; discontinue immediately and permanently. Hemolysis: do not give to G6PD deficiency; discontinue permanently if hemolysis occurs; screen higher-risk patients. Methemoglobinemia: discontinue permanently. Interference with uric acid measurements: samples left at room temperature are degraded; collect in prechilled heparin tubes, keep in ice water bath, assay within 4 hours.

- History of anaphylaxis or severe hypersensitivity to rasburicase, or development of hemolytic reactions or methemoglobinemia with rasburicase
- G6PD deficiency

- Hemolysis (<1%), severe reactions within 2–4 days of start; monitor and support, e.g., transfusion.
