Hogyan hat
Sodium is the main cation of extracellular fluid. It largely determines plasma osmolality and extracellular fluid volume. Sodium chloride replaces sodium and chloride ions and restores extracellular volume and electrolyte balance.
Szokásos felnőttadag (alkalmazási előírás szerinti összefoglaló)
Fluid replacement: intravenous infusion under medical supervision; the volume needed varies with age, body weight, complementary treatment and severity of the condition. Dose and rate are set by clinical and laboratory assessment.
Terhesség és szoptatás
- Terhesség
- Safe Salt is a normal body component. IV saline, oral rehydration, nasal and eye products are widely used in pregnancy without harm. US fluid labels: consider fluid and sodium overload; watch fluid balance with pre-eclampsia, heart or kidney disease. Acceptable when needed.
- Szoptatás
- Safe Sodium is a normal milk component and milk levels stay tightly regulated whatever the mother's intake. IV saline, rehydration salts and nasal or eye products do not affect the infant. e-lactancia: compatible.
Jelentett mellékhatások
- Metabolic acidosis
- Hypokalaemia
- Sodium retention
- Hypertension
- Tachycardia
- Oedema
Ellenjavallatok
- Hypernatraemia.
- Hyperchloraemia.
- Fluid overload or conditions where sodium and fluid retention is undesirable, for example severe oedema.
Kinek kell óvatosnak lennie
- For external use only.
- Do not use if the solution is cloudy. Use only if the applicator is intact.
- Single use: do not re-use; once opened, discard after use. Do not use the same applicator on different people.
