Összefoglaló

Apalutamide is a strong CYP3A4 inducer and substantially lowers ticagrelor and its active metabolite exposure. This could reduce platelet inhibition and risk stent thrombosis or other ischemic events.

Mit jelent ez a kölcsönhatás közérthetően

Apalutamide and Ticagrelor can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.

Apalutamide belongs to Endocrine; Ticagrelor belongs to Cardiovascular.

Bizonyítékszint: Moderate

Miért jön létre

Induction of CYP3A4 (and P-gp) increases ticagrelor clearance.

Teendő

Avoid the combination and use an alternative antiplatelet or antiandrogen. If unavoidable, monitor for loss of antiplatelet efficacy.
