Összefoglaló
Dabrafenib is a CYP3A4 inducer that may lower concentrations of cariprazine and its active metabolites, which are cleared by CYP3A4. The size of the effect is not well characterised, and loss of antipsychotic efficacy is possible.
Mit jelent ez a kölcsönhatás közérthetően
Cariprazine and Dabrafenib can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.
Cariprazine belongs to Central Nervous System; Dabrafenib belongs to Oncology.
Miért jön létre
Dabrafenib induces CYP3A4, which may increase clearance of cariprazine and its active metabolites.
Teendő
Avoid the combination where possible, as labeling advises against strong CYP3A4 inducers. If it is unavoidable, monitor for loss of psychiatric control and consider dose adjustment.
