Összefoglaló

Probenecid reduces ketorolac renal clearance, increasing ketorolac plasma levels and half-life. This raises the risk of ketorolac adverse effects such as bleeding, renal injury and GI ulceration; concomitant use is contraindicated in ketorolac labeling.

Mit jelent ez a kölcsönhatás közérthetően

Ketorolac intranasal and Probenecid are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Bizonyítékszint: High

Miért jön létre

Probenecid inhibits renal tubular anionic secretion of ketorolac, reducing its elimination.

Teendő

Do not coadminister; choose a different analgesic or a non-probenecid urate-lowering approach.
