Összefoglaló

Ketorolac inhibits platelet function and increases bleeding risk, which may work against the aim of phytonadione in bleeding or coagulopathy. Systemic exposure from the nasal form is lower than oral or injected ketorolac but still present.

Mit jelent ez a kölcsönhatás közérthetően

Ketorolac intranasal and Vitamin k1 can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Bizonyítékszint: Moderate

Miért jön létre

Ketorolac's reversible COX-1 inhibition impairs platelet aggregation, a pharmacodynamic effect not corrected by vitamin K.

Teendő

Avoid ketorolac in patients with active bleeding or vitamin K-responsive coagulopathy; choose a non-NSAID analgesic.

Mit kérdezzen a gyógyszerészétől

  • Should I take them at different times of day?
  • Does the dose of either medicine need to change?
  • Is there anything I should avoid, such as alcohol or certain foods, while on both?
