Gravidanza e allattamento

Gravidanza
Unsafe Topical retinoid. US labels contraindicate it in pregnancy: retinoids can cause birth defects, and rabbits had typical retinoid malformations (e.g. spina bifida). Check a negative pregnancy test before starting, use contraception, and stop if pregnancy occurs.
Allattamento
Unknown No human data; it passed into rat milk after skin use. US label: weigh benefits; use the shortest time and not on the nipple or areola. LactMed: some experts avoid large areas (over about 20% of the body); others advise not using it. Prefer an alternative; keep the infant off treated skin.
