Chi deve prestare attenzione

  • Delaying cystectomy can lead to metastatic bladder cancer, which is lethal; reconsider cystectomy if no complete response after 3 months or if CIS recurs.
  • Evaluate the bladder before instillation; do not give to patients with perforated bladder or compromised mucosa, as systemic exposure and severe leukopenia/neutropenia can occur.
  • Use with caution in severe irritable bladder symptoms; bladder spasm and spontaneous discharge of instillate may occur; clamping the catheter is not advised.
