Sintesi
Topotecan causes myelosuppression and immunosuppression, so a live oral adenovirus vaccine may replicate excessively and cause infection. The vaccine response may also be inadequate.

Adenovirus types 4 and 7 live and Topotecan are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Cytotoxic immunosuppression impairs control of live attenuated virus replication and blunts vaccine-induced immunity.
