Sintesi
Sulfamethoxazole, usually given with trimethoprim, can enhance the hypoglycemic effect of glimepiride. Severe hypoglycemia has been reported with sulfonylurea and co-trimoxazole combinations, especially in older patients or those with renal impairment.
