作用のしくみ

Pegylated human growth hormone (somatropin) that binds the GH receptor on target cells, causing intracellular signalling. It has direct tissue and metabolic effects and indirect effects mediated by IGF-1, and stimulates skeletal growth in pediatric GHD through effects on the epiphyseal growth plates.

Adult GHD, age 30 to 60 years with no oral estrogen: start 1.4 mg subcutaneously once weekly; increase monthly based on clinical response and/or IGF-1; maximum 6.3 mg once weekly

Unknown No data for lonapegsomatropin in pregnancy; decades of published data for somatropin, its active part, show no drug-related risk of birth defects or miscarriage, and rats showed no harm. Use in pregnancy only if needed.

Safe No milk data. A large protein expected to pass into milk only slightly; somatropin does not raise normal milk growth hormone levels and has no reported infant effects. LactMed: no special precautions are required.
