Ce înseamnă această interacțiune, în cuvinte simple
Buspirone and Phenelzine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
Buspirone belongs to Central Nervous System; Phenelzine belongs to Central Nervous System.
De ce apare
Phenelzine inhibits MAO, raising monoamine levels, while buspirone is a serotonergic 5-HT1A partial agonist, so serotonergic toxicity may result; the hypertensive mechanism is not fully established.
Conduita recomandată
Do not use together. Allow at least 14 days after stopping phenelzine before starting buspirone, and about a week after stopping buspirone before starting an MAOI.
