Rezumat

Gemifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone that can modestly prolong the QTc, and thioridazine has one of the strongest QTc effects among the antipsychotics. Using them together adds to delayed repolarisation and raises the risk of torsades de pointes, especially with hypokalaemia, hypomagnesaemia, bradycardia or structural heart disease.
