What this interaction means in plain words
Carbenoxolone and Sacubitril-valsartan can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Why it happens
Inhibition of 11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase produces mineralocorticoid-like sodium retention and potassium wasting.
What to do
Avoid in heart failure or hypertension where possible. If used, monitor blood pressure, weight, edema and electrolytes.
