Summary

Desvenlafaxine can cause hyponatremia through SIADH, especially in older adults. Large-volume bowel preparations cause fluid shifts and electrolyte disturbances, which may add to the risk of hyponatremia and its complications such as seizures. The risk is greatest in patients who are elderly, dehydrated or on other agents affecting sodium.

What this interaction means in plain words

Desvenlafaxine and Sodium sulfate / potassium chloride / magnesium sulfate / polyethylene glycol can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
