Summary

Enoxaparin potentiates antithrombin-mediated inhibition of factor Xa, which can neutralize the activity of infused human factor X. This may reduce the hemostatic benefit of factor X replacement in patients with hereditary factor X deficiency.

What this interaction means in plain words

Enoxaparin and Factor x human can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Evidence level: Low

Why it happens

Pharmacodynamic antagonism: indirect factor Xa inhibition opposes the procoagulant effect of replaced factor X.

What to do

Avoid giving enoxaparin during treatment of bleeding episodes or perioperative prophylaxis with factor X unless thrombosis risk clearly requires it. Monitor factor X activity and clinical hemostasis if both are needed.
