What this interaction means in plain words

Fluticasone-salmeterol and Indapamide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Fluticasone-salmeterol belongs to Respiratory; Indapamide belongs to Cardiovascular.

Evidence level: Moderate

Why it happens

Additive hypokalemia from renal potassium loss and beta-2-mediated intracellular potassium shift.

What to do

Monitor serum potassium and magnesium regularly and replace deficits. Be more cautious with high or frequent salmeterol dosing.
