Summary

Glecaprevir and pibrentasvir inhibit P-gp, BCRP and OATP1B1/3, so pazopanib exposure may increase. Pazopanib inhibits OATP1B1 and may also raise glecaprevir levels. Pazopanib hepatotoxicity may be of particular concern in patients treated for hepatitis C.

What this interaction means in plain words

Glecaprevir / pibrentasvir and Pazopanib can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Why it happens

Inhibition of P-gp/BCRP by the antivirals raises pazopanib exposure, and OATP1B1 inhibition by pazopanib may raise glecaprevir levels.

What to do

Monitor liver enzymes closely and watch for pazopanib adverse effects, reducing the dose if toxicity occurs.
