Summary
Growth hormone inhibits 11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1, which activates cortisone to cortisol. Starting lonapegsomatropin may reduce cortisol activity and unmask adrenal insufficiency, and it can reduce the effect of prednisone, which requires activation. Prednisolone itself is already active, so the effect is less.
