Résumé
Cladribine causes prolonged lymphopenia and immunosuppression. The live oral adenovirus vaccine could replicate unchecked and cause vaccine-related infection, and the vaccine response may be poor.

Adenovirus types 4 and 7 live and Cladribine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Cladribine-induced lymphocyte depletion impairs immunity, allowing live attenuated virus replication and reducing vaccine efficacy.

Do not give live vaccines during cladribine treatment or while lymphocyte counts remain low after it. Vaccinate at least 4 to 6 weeks before starting cladribine, and check lymphocyte recovery before any later live vaccine.
