Résumé
Fludarabine causes profound and prolonged lymphopenia. A live oral adenovirus vaccine could replicate unchecked and cause disseminated vaccine-strain infection, and the vaccine response would also be poor.

Adenovirus types 4 and 7 live and Fludarabine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Fludarabine-induced immunosuppression impairs control of live attenuated virus replication and reduces vaccine immunogenicity.

Do not give this live vaccine during fludarabine therapy. Defer vaccination until immune recovery is confirmed, usually at least 3 months after therapy ends.
