Résumé
Both drugs are converted to the same active metabolite, monomethyl fumarate, so combining them duplicates therapy. This raises the risk of flushing, gastrointestinal effects, lymphopenia and other dose-related adverse effects.

Dimethyl fumarate and Diroximel fumarate are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.
