Összefoglaló

The oral live attenuated cholera vaccine contains a live bacterial strain that systemic antibiotics may reduce or kill. This may blunt the immune response to the vaccine.

Mit jelent ez a kölcsönhatás közérthetően

Cholera vaccine and Dicloxacillin can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.

Bizonyítékszint: Moderate

Miért jön létre

Antibacterial activity against the live attenuated vaccine strain reduces replication and immunogenicity.

Teendő

Do not give the vaccine within 14 days after oral or parenteral antibiotics, per labeling. Postpone vaccination until the antibiotic course is complete.
