Összefoglaló

Fezolinetant is metabolized primarily by CYP1A2, and its exposure rises with CYP1A2 inhibitors. Mexiletine is a CYP1A2 inhibitor, so fezolinetant levels may increase, raising the risk of liver toxicity and other adverse effects. Labeling contraindicates use with CYP1A2 inhibitors.

Mit jelent ez a kölcsönhatás közérthetően

Fezolinetant and Mexiletine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Fezolinetant belongs to Endocrine; Mexiletine belongs to Cardiovascular.

Bizonyítékszint: Moderate

Miért jön létre

Mexiletine inhibits CYP1A2, reducing fezolinetant clearance.

Teendő

Do not use together; choose another menopause vasomotor therapy. If mexiletine is required, stop fezolinetant.
