Amisulpride causes dose-related QT prolongation, and octreotide can cause bradycardia and QT prolongation. The combination may raise the risk of torsades de pointes, especially with electrolyte disturbances.
Cosa significa questa interazione in parole semplici
Amisulpride and Octreotide can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.
Amisulpride belongs to Central Nervous System; Octreotide belongs to Endocrine.
Perché avviene
Additive QT prolongation, with octreotide-related bradycardia adding to the risk.
