Sintesi
Alcohol, especially in binge or heavy use, impairs hepatic lactate clearance and may potentiate metformin-associated lactic acidosis. It also unpredictably alters glucose control and raises the risk of hypoglycemia with glipizide, and a disulfiram-like reaction is rarely reported with sulfonylureas.
