Rosiglitazone improves insulin sensitivity and adds to insulin's glucose lowering, increasing hypoglycemia risk. Together they increase fluid retention, with a higher risk of edema, heart failure and possibly ischemic events.
Cosa significa questa interazione in parole semplici
Insulin lispro and Rosiglitazone can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.

Perché avviene
Additive glucose lowering through insulin sensitization plus insulin, with PPAR-gamma-mediated fluid retention potentiated by insulin.
Cosa fare
