作用のしくみ
Orthopoxvirus nucleotide analog DNA polymerase inhibitor; antiviral against variola (smallpox) virus. Prodrug converted intracellularly to cidofovir, then phosphorylated to the active cidofovir diphosphate.

Smallpox: patients weighing 48 kg and above: 200 mg (two 100 mg tablets or 20 mL oral suspension), oral, once weekly for 2 doses (Days 1 and 8)
