概要
Thiazides reduce urinary calcium excretion, so supplemental calcium can raise serum calcium. High calcium intake with thiazides can lead to hypercalcemia and, with absorbable alkali, milk-alkali syndrome.
この相互作用をわかりやすく説明すると
Calcium acetate and Captopril-hydrochlorothiazide can affect each other. The combination is often manageable, but it may need a change of dose, a change of timing, or extra checks while both are taken.
Calcium acetate belongs to Genitourinary; Captopril-hydrochlorothiazide belongs to Cardiovascular.
なぜ起こるのか
Thiazides enhance distal tubular calcium reabsorption, reducing renal calcium clearance.
対処法
Monitor serum calcium periodically and reduce the calcium dose if hypercalcemia develops, especially in renal impairment.
