概要
Rubella vaccine is live attenuated and can replicate excessively in patients on immunosuppressive doses of prednisolone. The immune response may also be reduced.

Prednisolone and Rubella vaccine are not normally used together. Taking them at the same time is expected to cause harm or make one of them unsafe, so a different medicine is usually chosen for one of the two.

Glucocorticoid immunosuppression impairs control of live attenuated virus replication and blunts the immune response.
対処法
Avoid during high-dose steroid therapy and for about one month after stopping, per local guidance. Low-dose or short-course steroids may be acceptable under specialist advice.
