Resumo
Gemfibrozil and its glucuronide strongly inhibit CYP2C8 and OATP1B1, the main clearance pathways of repaglinide, raising repaglinide exposure several-fold. Prolonged and severe hypoglycaemia can result. The metformin component adds little to this effect.
