Resumo
Gemfibrozil and its glucuronide strongly inhibit CYP2C8, the main enzyme clearing daprodustat, causing a marked rise in daprodustat exposure. This increases the risk of excessive erythropoiesis and thrombotic events, and labeling contraindicates the combination.
