Resumo
Trilaciclib inhibits OCT2, MATE1 and MATE2-K, so metformin concentrations are expected to increase rather than decrease. This may raise the risk of lactic acidosis, particularly with renal impairment.
O que esta interação significa em palavras simples
Glyburide-metformin and Trilaciclib can interact in a way that may be serious. Using them together is sometimes necessary, but it needs a deliberate decision by the prescriber, a plan for monitoring, and clear advice on the warning signs to watch for.
Glyburide-metformin belongs to Endocrine; Trilaciclib belongs to Oncology.
Por que acontece
Trilaciclib inhibits OCT2 and MATE transporters, reducing renal clearance of metformin.
O que fazer
Avoid metformin on days of trilaciclib where possible, or monitor renal function and lactate-related symptoms closely. Consider a metformin dose reduction.
